The Indian cricket board (BCCI) is getting very serious with gaming. A day after BCCI gave a press release about its plan on initiating gaming, it has come to light that the board is already working with several programmers to finalize the details. Exploring the market for cricket games can be pretty exciting, especially if you’re a fan of the sport! Cricket games can vary widely in style and complexity, from realistic simulations perhaps to more arcade-style fun.
From mobile to online multiplayer, gaming in cricket would be quite a revolution. “We hope to start it very soon. The board is working towards and it would be surrounding IPL to reach out to maximum audience.” IPL chairman Arun Dhumal told CricBlogger on Thursday.
Many games offer online multiplayer modes, allowing kids to connect with friends and make new ones, which enhances the social experience and engagement “Modern games are designed with compelling storylines, dynamic gameplay, and high-quality graphics, which can captivate players of all ages,” Dhumal said.
It is also revealed that the receipts from this project would be equally divided amongst the franchises from the central pool of revenue. “It’s too early to talk about the revenue bit. Since gaming is quite a sport not only for children but also for all age groups, the board is already working with different programmers to come out with something special,” Dhumal said.
When asked about the meeting between the franchises and board officials, Dhumal made it clear that the opinions of the IPL team owners have been taken into account and the governing council will take a call as soon as possible. “We will factor all the suggestions and will come out with the players’ regulations that will be good for the league and team owners,” Dhumal said while adding that IPL is one such brand that it will always deliver.
