Ravindra Jadeja is truly batting like magic. In English conditions — considered the ultimate examination of batsmanship — he seems almost untouchable. Whether it’s playing close to the body, waiting till the last moment to commit, or using his feet wisely depending on the length of the ball, Jadeja’s technique is a masterclass in adaptability and timing. But make no mistake — this wasn’t built overnight.
According to his longtime teammate and current Saurashtra Cricket Association president Jaydev Shah, Jadeja’s preparation for the England tour began long before he boarded the flight.
“What we’re witnessing now is not just form — it’s the result of intense planning, deep self-awareness, and relentless repetition. Jadeja may be a magician on the field, but the tricks are all earned through sweat. He prepared hard for the series and extremely serious about his work ethics,” Jaydev told CricBlogger a day after the Lord’s Test that saw Jadeja putting up the best possible show for his team.
“Right after the IPL, Jadeja was clear about what he wanted,” said Jaydev Shah. “He came to Rajkot to get a feel of the red ball under the watchful eyes of India’s assistant coach Sitanshu Kotak — and he did exactly that. He could have easily taken some rest and boarded the flight straight to England like most others. But instead, he chose to come home and prepare for the series with purpose.”
Even those who were at Lord’s before the game began saw Jadeja batting intensely in the nets, quietly signalling his readiness for the battle ahead. It wasn’t just routine practice — it was a statement of intent, a clear indication that he had come prepared to fight it out, session by session.
“Someone who has scored three triple hundreds is undoubtedly a serious batter,” Shah said. “He bats at No. 4 for Saurashtra and has piled up multiple triple centuries. People often forget that. For me, he’s not just a world-class all-rounder — he’s the best all-rounder in the world.”
We’re likely to see much more of Jadeja the batter after his stupendous performance in England. And as Shah rightly puts it: “At home, he’s equally dangerous — as a batter, bowler, and fielder. He’s a true game-changer.”

A useful player for the team have all skill with batting, bowling and fielding. Many times he has done splendid job for the Indian team. Again proved himself.
some truth there that if he was a shade bit positive in his batting , we would have positive results on our side
